Who knows Fenton Glass?
I have a glass of Fenton, which is two shades of color. I know it was from the 90s. I have 2 books of Fenton, looked a lot of websites. and found nothing in the cup. Can anyone help me identify it. I'm happy to send photo of it. I have contacted the Fenton Co. and has nothing yet.

I have been collecting Fenton Art Glass for almost eight years and probably my favorite collection is crests. Fenton crests have been made of Milk Glass (although not always) and have a different color of glass applied on the edge of the piece. The ridges were made from late 1930 and technically still being done today. However, most peaks to be found made in the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's. Here are five quick tips that I discovered in collecting Fenton Crests.
1. Choose colors you like. When I started collecting crests, I decided I wanted a piece of each color of the ridge is Fenton. Years later I discovered that I had over a hundred pieces and really enjoy a lot of them. Since then I have begun to focus my collection in colors that I really like. For me, I really like Fenton Blue Ridge, Black-Crest, Blue Snowcrest, Ruby Crest Silvercrest and Ivory.
2. Choose patterns that show very well. It's a real shame to buy beautiful pieces of glass and then keep them hidden in a box. Use your glass to decorate with. Consider using similar groups colors to create centerpieces. Ridges have the ability to look great together when you have a grouping of the crest of the same color and accent color of the ridge makes it really are highlighted.
3. Give yourself a challenge. If you know anything about Fenton or ridges you'll probably find that the models listed above are quite modest. However, the challenge is part of the fun. For every hundred pieces of Silvercrest you see you could find a single piece of crest black. That makes finding Part blackcrest much more fun. Just be careful not to make it very difficult in itself. Choose a model you really like to be within your budget.
4. Consider collecting forms you like. As an alternative to selecting a single color of the ridge to collect, consider choosing a shape. There are several ways that Fenton made in almost any color different crest. Collection of Jack in the pulpit, vases, baskets, or Bon Bons Rose Bowls in all colors may be great fun and can look very interesting all displayed together.
5. Look for the agreement. When you start out the crests of the collection is likely that the temptation of simply buying cheaper parts together. However, remember to sprinkle some really great rare pieces (or at least keep an eye for business) within his collection. Whenever you are out shopping for antiques or browsing the web are alerted to the best deals and awesome parts. Rare pieces tend to maintain their value much better than common and it's always great to be able to tell the story of where their best pieces.
6. Buy books. There are a number of major books that will show the different shapes, colors and crests treatements available in Fenton. Definitely take the time to check out. Also you can supliment its investigation, surfing the section of the ridges on eBay. They have some great pieces to look there. Just be careful not to spend too much money.
Ultimately, when it comes to collecting the crests you need to buy what you love. I have hundreds of peaks and am constantly seeking the next great piece for my collection. Who know where I might find him and what kind of deal that could be obtained.
