AMBER – a natural mineral resin from conifers. If the light or just heat it in the hand, produces a characteristic resinous odor. Parts amber often contain bits of wood, plants and insects. Millions of years the territory of present central and northern Europe was covered by thick "amber forest". The tree resin dripped on the very wet bedding and then was carried by the flow of streams and rivers to its mouth, where settled in the sand.
